I was playing around with the iPad the other night, this little beauty I made with an app called SketchBookX, the free version of a really cool, full featured app that sells for $2.

I'm still standing, looks like I haven't posted in a while, but I seem to have gotten caught up in the whole farcebook web of lies.

Now that harvest season is over, I can dust off the notebooks and pens and get some more drawing practice. Who knows if that cartoon idea I had will make it to the web this winter, I hope so.

Inks, pencils and paper

Practiced with pens and colored pencils on the top picture. It looks oddly content.

On the lower one, I used brush pens on the left and Micron 03, 05 and 08 on the right.

This is super easy to do. I can totally put some vocals to go along with my cartoon idea, try something a little different.

Stage two of my master plan

I would buy an old warehouse in the city and convert the top into a nice little greenhouse. The lower section would be used to conduct experiments, the mad scientist type of course. The office would have to be upstairs with a window overlooking the floor, I could step out onto the balcony and yell at who ever I want to. (probably wouldn't need to though...)((also, more than likely to be just me there most of the time)).

Maybe next time I will sketch a floor plan.

Decided to dust off the old Botany Manual the other night and flip through the pages for inspiration. Might just try my hands at some Bryophytes on the next attempt.

Think I have finally found the medium that suites me right now. I will buy some paper samples next time I go to the art store, experiment till I find what works for me. I have heard that there is never a perfect paper for pens and watercolours, best for only one at a time. Lots of fun.

Now that the harvest season is almost over, I have time to sit inside and not do physical activities full time and part time. Lost my photos of the huge pile of tomatoes, will keep my eye out for that one.

I have been working on a design project, this is just a taste.

Just the other day I was trying to provide justification for petting zoos and tanning beds. My final argument was as follows: Crazy people and their crazy ways. I was also trying to explain how the electoral process will be obsolete when I become SUPREME EMPEROR of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

Easy money

The job search continues, I just love writing 1000 word essays about my Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. I tried writing "I just ROCK!" but don't think job reviewers fully comprehend the simplicity. I haven't been successful at finding a way to receive large quantities of money by screwing off.

Went to see the Norfolk Admirals (hockey) play the other night. They (we) got their (our) asses handed to them (us) as usual by the team from another area. We actually scored a goal, but the other team scored 4. Sure enough, two seconds after we got up to leave with 5 minutes on the clock a fight broke out, at least we won that. I have a lot of respect for a guy that can kick another guy's ass while on ice skates, there's a beauty in that. Way more beautiful than lame'o figure skating if you ask yours truly.

Those pictures that I have been promising have been put on the back burner, the job search and what I like to call "space out time" have been interfering.

Patience is a virtue; and a chick that used to live downstairs from me.

I have also been experimenting with messing with the ads posted by gmail. The homework for this week is to put a bunch of random words on your email signature or blog labels. Tell me how it turns out!

Riding high. On my new bike!

Getting settled back into American society, found a job at the local bike shop which kicks ass.

Check out the Reuters photos of the attack on our embassy in Belgrade. Is it not weird that there are so many people standing in front of the fires taking photos with digital cameras and phones? You can see the screens lit up, and there are quite a few of them. Who joins an angry mob and goes home to show friends and family your exploits?

I have started one of my videos from Africa, think I will put it on UTube. Joy!

A Holiday Survivor Story

That's right folks, I survived the holidays. Nothing like plentiful and nutritious foods. I just got back from where life is hard.

I saw my buddy fall face first in the muck....

because he was drunk.....

and tripped.....

and fell in a mud puddle.

Seriously though, I am working on finding a "real" job and getting all those photos and stories where we all can enjoy.

Please be patient, I know you will.
